Switching to DaySync: a practical migration checklist

A successful move keeps existing appointments accurate and gives clients a working booking link. Before you cancel your current software, check what can be exported, what needs to be entered again and which features your business depends on.
Check whether DaySync fits your workflow
DaySync provides a calendar, client records and a public booking page. Free covers one team member. Pro is $25 per month or $250 per year for the team, without per-seat fees. The 14-day Pro trial requires no card; you only begin a paid subscription if you choose to subscribe.
Check these differences before planning the move:
- Client discovery: DaySync has no consumer marketplace. Consider how many new clients your current platform brings you.
- Payment collection: integrated card processing and booking deposits are not available in the current release. Continue using your existing payment method.
- Client reminders: online bookings receive email confirmations, with reminders scheduled for 24 hours and 2 hours before the visit. Last-minute bookings may miss an earlier reminder. Manually entered bookings do not send these emails, and SMS reminders are unavailable.
Compare the current features with the parts of your workflow you use every day.
Check your export options before sending data
Review your current provider's export tools and terms. A client list may not include appointment history, photos, notes or future visits. Open the export and check what it actually contains.
Contact support@daysync.io to discuss available migration options and a suitable transfer method. Describe the file format and fields first; do not send a full client database in the initial email. Do not assume that every field can be imported automatically.
Keep a protected copy of the records you need and are entitled to retain. Restrict access to anyone helping with the move.
Rebuild and check the service menu
Add service names, prices and durations, then set working hours and booking rules. On Free, the public booking page displays up to five services. Check your most common services first.
If you have a team, review each person's hours, services and access. Test a booking before publishing the new link. Clients need their first and last name, email address and phone number to complete the contact details.
Plan the changeover for existing appointments
Choose a changeover date and keep one clearly identified calendar as the source of truth. Compare future appointments by date, time, service and team member. Check each transferred entry rather than assuming the export was complete.
Avoid leaving two independent booking pages open for the same availability. If you keep the old system temporarily to view existing records, disable new bookings there or keep availability synchronized manually.
Confirm how you will contact clients whose appointments are entered manually. Those appointments will not trigger DaySync's online-booking emails.
Share the new link, then close the old workflow
Update your website, social profiles, business listings and QR codes. Ask a returning client to test the link and tell you if anything is unclear.
Before cancelling the old subscription, verify the upcoming calendar and the records you need. Check its cancellation and data-access terms so you know when access ends. The move is complete when your records are checked and clients can book the right time without using the old page.
