The short version.

DaySync has no per-member fees and no new-client commission: the Free plan is a complete booking system for one person, and Pro is $25 a month — or $250 a year — flat per location, with unlimited team members. Fresha, by contrast, charges per team member ($19.95/mo solo, or $14.95/mo per member for teams, US pricing) plus a one-time 20% commission, minimum $6, on the first visit of each new client who books through its marketplace. If your clients find you through your own Instagram, Google profile or referrals, on DaySync you keep all of it.

Why people switch.

Free that stays free

Fresha grew up as free booking software, then moved everyone to mandatory subscriptions in 2025. DaySync keeps a real free tier: a complete booking system for a solo operator, no card, no clock.

New clients cost nothing

A first visit booked through Fresha's marketplace costs 20% of that visit, minimum $6 (US) — and reviewers report disputes over who counts as a marketplace client. On DaySync there is no marketplace fee: every booking from your link is simply yours.

One price at any headcount

At $14.95 per team member, a four-chair floor pays about $60 a month on Fresha before processing fees. DaySync Pro is $25 flat per location whether you are three people or ten.

The maths of a four-chair salon.

Take a four-person salon that gains ten new clients in a month, each first visit averaging $80. On DaySync that month costs $25, full stop. On Fresha it costs $59.80 in subscription plus $160 in one-time new-client fees if those ten found you through the marketplace — about $220.

The honest counterpoint: Fresha's marketplace can be where those ten clients came from, and if marketplace discovery genuinely drives your growth, the commission buys something real. But if your chair fills from your own Instagram, your Google profile and word of mouth — as it does for most independent businesses — you are paying marketplace economics for clients you brought yourself.

Where Fresha is ahead.

A consumer marketplace Fresha says spans 120+ countries and 450,000+ professionals — real discovery if your city searches there.
Card payments, terminals and hardware that work today, with published rates.
Gift cards, memberships and a deep retail catalogue at scale.

If most of your new clients genuinely arrive through marketplace search, that commission buys distribution — and Fresha remains a fair choice.

Switching takes an afternoon.

The honest questions.

Free is a plan, not a trial. A solo operator gets online booking, the calendar, client records and payouts for $0, forever, with no card on file. Pro ($25/mo or $250/yr per location) lifts the limits and adds team tooling, reports and marketing.

No. There is no marketplace fee, no per-booking fee and no percentage of your takings. You pay the flat subscription — on the Free plan, nothing at all.

Yes. Add clients directly in the app, or send us your exported client list at support@daysync.io and we will help you load it.

Card payments via Stripe are in development, with no DaySync platform fee planned on top of Stripe's. Today DaySync tracks takings and deposits in the app; if built-in card processing is essential right now, that is a real difference to weigh.

The model is published and simple: Free stays free, Pro is flat per location. No per-seat fees, no commission — and your data exports anytime, so you are never locked in.
